Small still life

Here is another still life study....not finished yet, but blocked in, and the composition is completed. Probably another few hours yet to complete the detail, and hopefully bring it to life..my biggest problem when attempting this type of painting, is when to put the brush down and say..enough is enough! Funnily enough, although I find little problem when developing a living landscape, still life has always proved difficult for me...yet as I have always said to my students..it is a beautiful way to develop skills......well, sometimes the teacher becomes the pupil!
