29th June 08: Update:
Well, like I said earlier, it was time to take a break and 'go bush'for a while! I took the caravan down to Johnsonville, on the Tambo river, just above Lakes Entrance. Joyce and I did a lot of fishing, and even caught a few! We took the opportunity to do some plain air painting on location, and managed to produce some quality work, We were away for a week, and I must say, it was very enjoyable! You know, it's a small world...we met the owner's wife(caravan park), who was also an artist! She was an extremely nice person, who invited us to her home for coffee, and showed us her studio, and showed us some of her recent works. It's always nice to meet other artists and exchange ideas and views. On our next trip there, she agreed to come and paint with us!
Don't know when we will be able to go away again, though...too much work to do back at home! Both Joyce and I have a number of paintings to complete in the studio for upcoming exhibitions, not to mention the continued work that needs to be done on the paint sketches we did at Johnsonville, and of course, attention to my students!
I ave added some of the pics we took on the trip.
