Hi all! Well, as you can guess by my pic, I am a free-lance artist/illustrator. I had an exciting life during my earlier years, I spent 20 years in the Military, serving in both Australia and South East Asia, then worked as an investigator with the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, and finally as an Intelligence Analyst with the Australian Federal Police. During all this time, I always had an interest in art, and studied several techniques in various mediums whilst travelling around Australia. I promised myself that when the time was right, I would take up art seriously. Well, it finally happened around 12 years ago, when I retired , and I now reside in countryside Victoria, and travel around in my 4x4 and caravan, hopefully capturing great scenes to paint. Will add to my blog as they (paintings) emerge! My ultimate aim is to travel around Aussie on a big painting trip, hopefully selling some paintings along the way. However, before embarking on the 'trip of a lifetime", I want to really explore the state of Victoria..there are some wonderful places to go and paint/photograph.I also conduct an art class each weekend, currently with three students, one of which is turning into a promising artist, Joyce Hopwood, featured on this blog page. Can't believe she is already exhibiting after such a short time!
My life revolves around my art, such as it is, and I find that there is not enough hours in the day to do all the things I would love to do, which also includes my other love, photography, which in itself supports my art, I guess!
Feel free to view my work, and I would love you to make comment if you wish! In particular, I would welcome comments from other working artists out there!
